Waste Carrier Licence(Carrier licence)

The Environment Agency registration anyone transporting waste for business must hold. It is free to check on the public register, and it is what separates a licensed operator from a fly-tipper who will leave your waste — and your address — in a lay-by.

Duty of Care / Waste Transfer Note(WTN)

Your legal obligation as the waste producer to ensure it reaches a licensed destination, evidenced by a transfer note. Householders using a registered skip firm are covered; hiring an unlicensed man-with-a-van is where prosecutions actually land.

Skip Permit(Permit)

The council licence required to place a skip on a public road, verge or pavement, usually with lights and cones. Lead times and cost vary by authority, which is the single most common reason a skip arrives later than promised.

Prohibited Items(Prohibited)
