What qualifications should an electrician have?

Look for:

• Part P Registration - NICEIC, NAPIT or ELECSA qualified
• Periodic Test Certificate (EICR) - shows they test their own work
• Insurance - professional indemnity and public liability
• References - ask previous customers

If they can't provide these, find someone else.
