Customers and tradespeople arrange payment terms directly. We recommend using our secure payment system for protection, but direct payment is also allowed. Always get a written contract before starting work.
Payment terms are agreed between you and the tradesperson. Common arrangements include deposits, stage payments, or payment upon completion. Never pay the full amount upfront without a proper contract.
TradeMatch doesn't hold or process payments, so refunds are arranged directly between customers and tradespeople. If you have a payment dispute, contact our support team for mediation assistance.
VAT rules depend on the tradesperson's registration status. VAT-registered tradespeople will include VAT in their quotes. Always request an itemized quote showing all costs including VAT if applicable.
